L'oreal Paris Shine Caresse 603 Milady & 606 Lolita + Swatches!

Read Article →

L'oreal Shine Caresse lipgloss is a dazzling shine fresh moisture light-weight lip color. It promises to be the first lip color to fuse with your lips. Provides a rich refined color yet a barely-there lip sensation. Lips feel cocooned in a fresh, dewy sensation.

I have seen on other reviews that the Shine Caresse is a dupe for YSL Glossy Stain. Considering that YSL now belongs to L'oreal group, the Shine Caresse can be considered as the affordable version of YSL Glossy Stain which retails for S$43 here in Singapore.

603 Milady is a very pretty lilac shade and 606 Lolita is a brownish peachy shade. I really like the color Milady, I think it complements my skin tone very well. I had high hopes for Lolita, I thought that Lolita would be an everyday peachy nude but I don't really appreciate the color that much on my lips. The Shine Caresse lipgloss has a perfumed scent to it and a mild flowery taste. It also leaves a slight stain behind. The applicator is just amazing, one of the best applicators I have used and some said that it is very similar to the applicator of YSL Glossy Stain. It deposits just the right amount of product and giving just a nice thin layer of coat.

Overall I feel that the Shine Caresse range is definitely provides much more than just a simple lip gloss. It is a two in one product, a lipgloss and a lip stain. It is pigmented enough to wear it alone by itself, it doesn't dry out my lips that quickly as compared to other lip glosses and the staying power is great. The design is very impressive as well, very sleek and sturdy. I would recommend it if you are looking for a affordable option (retails for S$18.90) instead of investing in the YSL Glossy Stain.

Love,
Hannah

April & May Fashion Haul | Lulu&Rose, ASOS

Read Article →

Hey guys! April & May haul is up! This month (or rather 2 months) has been really stressful for me. I didn't get to shop much so the haul is rather small compared to the Feb&March one which was a little bit crazy. But I did get some cute pieces online, mostly from Singsale and ASOS. Super excited to show you guys what I got so lets jump right into it.

From SheInside, I got this really nice floral design denim jacket. It is very lightweight so it is great for summer. I would wear this with a loose boyfriend tee with my hair in a messy bun. Very cute and again, I am a huge sucker for anything floral so this is something I would totally wear on a daily basis. This jacket only comes in one size but I feel that it will fit from a UK8-12. I bought it for US$33.

Blue Lapel Long Sleeve Floral Crop Jacket

I got this leather jacket from Singsale. It is from the brand Lulu&Rose. I have been on the look out for a nice leather jacket, but it is always either too expensive or too poor quality. I know Zara has great designs but comes with a $200 price tag which is out of the budget for some of us. I LOVE this jacket. The quality is amazing, the material is so soft and the best part-I got it for S$62. SAY WHAT! I like how it doesn't add bulk to the silhouette, many times leather jacket makes the top half very heavy and bulky looking but this jacket doesn't do that.  The spikes on the shoulders makes it look extra edgy as well. Definitely not something I would wear on a daily basis but I will absolutely bring it with me for an important event whenever I need that extra boost of sass. I got it in a size XS.

Lulu&Rose Hells Angels Stud Biker Jacket

From ASOS sale section, I got this really cute jumper with really sweet foil roses on the front and the back. I just knew I had to get it the moment I saw it. Jumpers with graphic designs are all over the runways, online webstores, big name brands, literally everywhere this year so you can't really go wrong with this piece. And I think the jumper was only 8 pounds!

ASOS Cropped Sweatshirt With Foil Rose

I also got my hands on this playsuit from ASOS. It looks really cute and preppy. I got it in a size 12 as it was the only available size left. It fits a little bit big on me but I reckon a a couple of snips and tuck will make it fit better. I did a more detailed post on it so check it out here!

Hannah

 L - R: #07 Natural Beauty, #10 Cotton Candy, #08 Colour Crush, #09 Wear Berries

L - R: #07 Natural Beauty, #08 Colour Crush, #09 Wear Berries, #10 Cotton Candy

 Top-Bottom : #07 Natural Beauty, #08 Colour Crush, #09 Wear Berries, #10 Cotton Candy

Hey guys! A couple of months ago I blogged that I got a few more Essence Longlasting lipsticks. I did a swatch post of all 10 shades so click here if you are interested in the full range. I got the shade #07 Natural Beauty, #08 Colour Crush, #09 Wear Berries and #10 Cotton Candy. All my choices were pink shades because I think I look better in pink tone lip color. They retail for S$4.90 each at Watsons.

#07 Natural Beauty is a mauve pink and almost a my-lips-but-better shade. Definitely my favourite out of the four. It looks very natural on and great for everyday wear. #08 Colour Crush is a bright pink shade, gives a nice pop of colour. As the name states, #09 Wear Berries is a berry shade, it doesn't look as scary on the stick than on the lips. #10 Cotton Candy (true to name) is a cool tone pink that is girly and flirty.

The Essence Longlasting Lipstick has amazing colour payoff, and are very true to color. They are fairly moisturizing.  My lips are naturally really dry and they do slightly dry out my lips. But for the price of S$4.90 each, I would say give it a go. They feel very high quality and the formula glides on the lips very smoothly as well. A great bargain for any lipstick fanatic!

Check out swatches for all 10 shades here!

Sephora Colour Wand + Swatches!

Read Article →

Hey guys! So I'm sure most of you guys know, Sephora gives gifts to members on their birthday month. My friend told me that they were giving away MakeUpForever gift sets this year. Sadly I didn't get it, maybe they ran out of stock in stores. You do not have to purchase anything to collect your gift by the way but they do need to see the member card.

At first glance, this weird contraption looks like 4 mini lipglosses stacked together. After closer inspection, it turns out that each have a separate applicator for every shade. The design is simply ingenious and I love it. This will be great for traveling, I no longer need to carry multiple lip glosses when I can just carry one product yet enjoy a different color everyday. What I am not impressed about is how the packaging didn't state which shades they were, I suppose they are available full size but giving us the shade name would be so much more helpful to find in stores.

Lets talk about the shades itself. All five shades are rather sheer and rather similar. There are two glittery  and two creamy shades. Shade #1 is gorgeous glittery cherry red and probably my favourite shade out of the bunch. Shade #2 is a creamy baby pink shade, shade #3 is a peachy shade with gold glitter and shade #4 is a brownish nude.

They are a little bit sticky and have a very sweet taste and scent. I do find myself licking my lips unconsciously a couple of times. The lasting power isn't that great, and could definitely use some more pigmentation. All in all, I do like all the shades and I find this to be a great gift for girl friends!
