Clio Virgin Kiss Lipnicure Swatches

Read Article →

There are a total of 8 shades in the Virgin Kiss Lipnicure Range.

There are a few steps to this Lipnicure process. A primer to retain moisture and keep the lip surface smooth and hydrated. A concealer to make the Lipnicure colour more vibrant (This product is not available in Watsons Singapore currently). Thirdly, apply the colour (Lipnicure). And finally to make the surface all glossy and shiny, one can choose to add a 'Top Coat'.

There are only 6 shades available at Watsons and retails for S$25.90 each. I've also swatched the lip primer and top coat but they are not very visible since they are transparent. The Lipnicure dries matte. I have not tried it on my lips but I can see it being very, very long lasting because after swatching I could only remove it completely after washing my hand with soap twice! So the Lipnicure range is great for party nights where you want your sultry red/fuchsia lip to last the entire night without budging. I would love to try #2Nasty Pink, #3Crime Pink and #7Tension Red. Such lovely shades!

Beauty Haul | Stocking Stuffers

Read Article →

2 more days to Christmas you guys! I cannot believe how time has flown past even before I notice it. It's funny how every year we say that and time still passes so swiftly. Maybe sometimes we should just stop our steps and take some time out for ourselves. Will that make time slower? Hmm..probably not.

Okay enough rambling, today's post is a small beauty haul from a few days ago, plus I realized these item are awesome as stocking stuffers so if you are last minute present shopping like me, hopefully you can get some ideas from this post.

Some items are duplicates as there will be a Christmas giveaway on this blog in 2 days and some of the items featured here are going to be given away. I still have some Christmas shopping to do so don't worry this is not all! I recently got 3 Essence lipsticks in shade 08, 09 and 10. If you guys are interested in the Essence lipsticks I did a swatch post here of all 10 shades so check it out if you want. I also got some curly rubber bands because mine broke and these ones are from Daiso and comes in a pack of 6 which is a pretty good deal. Also, if you guys are interested, the Sally Hansen nail polishes are 200 Strobe Light and 330 Grey Area.

Hannah

Essence Longlasting Lipstick Swatches

Read Article →

Essence Long Lasting Lipsticks retails for S$4.90 each at Watsons. I currently own 3 of them, 08 Colour Crush, 10 Cotton Candy and 09 Wear Berries. I am looking for 07 Natural Beauty but ugh it is out of stock everywhere. I will make a review on them once I get more shades. Essence lipsticks are made in Italy and have really great quality despite such a affordable price. They don't slip & slide on the lips like NYX round lipstick does and does not dry out the lips.

Essence Floral Grunge 05 Black To The Roots

Read Article →

Remember a year ago I did a nail polish post on China Glaze's CG In The City topped over Revlon's 919 Black Lingerie? Click here to read. This nail polish is like a combination of the 2 in just 1 bottle. It is a black nail polish with silver glitters in it. It has a 'The Rough' sticker on it which means that it dries to a textured surface. This one dries matte, I didn't really care for the finish so I applied Seche Vite topcoat over it. I do like how it came out, very sultry. Essence Floral Grunge range retails for S$3.50 at Watsons. It chips 3-5 days, definitely does not last as long as brands like OPI or CG so what you pay is what you get, but for 3.50 I think it is a good price to just try out different colours. I would say that this is one of my favourite Essence nail polishes that I own currently so I highly recommend you guys check it out!

Goodies From TheSampleStore

Read Article →

So a couple of days ago, The Sample Store was having a promotion for 4 samples at a fixed delivery rate of S$5.99 which is still available now so head over there if you are interested to try out some samples. Since I was looking for a new BB Cream (I was getting tired of my Dr Jart Detox bb cream), I thought that it was a great chance to try some out and see which ones worked the best.

Disclaimer: This post is not an advertisement or sponsored.

Clockwise : GoodSkin Lab Smooth-365 Intensive Clarity + Smoothing Peptide Serum, BRTC Whitening & Wrinkle Repair BB Cream, Rachel K CC Cream (Neutral/Pink), ElishaCoy Wrinkle Out Perfect Line Cream

I'll start off with the Rachel K CC Cream (Neutral/Pink). If you guys are new to Rachel K CC creams, it has 2 versions of it, a pink (neutral) one, and a black (original) one. The one I've tried is the neutral CC cream. If you guys want a comparison between the both, this is the video I watched. My friend used it and she gives it a 'meh' rating and surprisingly I would give it a 'meh' too. Not very impressed with that but I will leave all the detail in its own review.

This, on the other hand, is amazing. I freaking love the BRTC Whitening & Wrinkle Repair BB Cream and if you are between a NC15-NC25, I think you will like it too. I love the coverage, it covers up majority of my imperfections and I highly recommend you guys to try it.

I am pretty young but I do have some problems with neck wrinkles. I suppose it is a heredity condition because I noticed my mum's side of the family has really deep neck wrinkles. I haven't tried the ElishaCoy Wrinkle Out Perfect Line Cream yet but hopefully it does something to flatten out the annoying michelin folds nah it isn't that bad

I got the GoodSkin Lab Smooth-365 Intensive Clarity + Smoothing Peptide Serum mainly because of how positive the reviews are on MUA. All the comments are like 'praise the heavenly lord for this product' so I just had to try it. I'll let you guys know how well it works. The full price of the product is insanely expensive so it is nice to be able to try out something first before investing in a skincare product.

Hannah

White Christmas Outfit Ideas

Read Article →

Hey guys! So Christmas is just around the corner and if you are like me who worries about what to wear to events or parties, I hope this post can give you an inspiration on what to wear on this lovely festive holiday.

The weather has been a little bit chilly these days but it does get sunny during the afternoons. So depending on your country's climate, feel free to pair warm thermal leggings underneath skirts for freezing countries or ditch the jumper for a similar colour chiffon blouse if you live in a tropical country.

Outfit #1 - A Christmas date

Jumper: H&M / Skirt: Esprit / Necklace: Topshop / Shoes: H&M

I love the colour of this cable knit jumper! It is a nice cool tone cherry red colour, very playful and cheeky, the camera does not do it any justice (it always messes up the tones). I added a statement chunky necklace to glam up the whole look and I think it looks amazing with this jumper. The skirt I used here is a beige skater skirt that has subtle gold thread and it complements the gold in the necklace really well.

Outfit #2 - Party night

Jumper: Korea / Shorts: ASOS / Necklace: Topshop / Shoes: H&M

This is something that I would totally wear on a every day basis if I live in a cooler country. I got this white furry jumper from Korea last year during the winter season. It looks amazing paired with the lace high waisted shorts from ASOS. I also tried to jazz it up by adding a really cute monochrome tone necklace from Topshop. I love it!

Hannah

November Fashion Haul | Taylor Kit, F21, Vero Moda

Read Article →

Hey guys! Apologies for the lack of posts, I had a few tests the past week so all I have been doing was studying my ass off. I am planning an awesome giveaway for you guys which it is coming right up so stay tune for that. I am really late on November's fashion haul so let's get right into it now!

Surprisingly I didn't get any accessories this month, I haven't been shopping much either, since I have been pretty much busy with school work. But on the occasional times I went shopping, I did get some interesting pieces.

I stopped by Forever 21 and boy can I say that I am in love with their current collections. There were many times where I came out of the store empty handed and feeling slightly disappointed because there wasn't anything I liked, but not this time because they have really awesome pieces in stores right now. I am planning to go back sometime next week maybe? When I have the time I will make a trip back just to make sure I'm not missing out on any goodies. <- how you know you are a shopping addict.

I got a nice chiffon checkered/plaid shirt for S$33. I look nasty in plaid, I have no idea why but every time I try on a cotton plaid shirt, it does not look good on me. But surprisingly, I look pretty dang good in a chiffon version. I have no idea why, maybe it's the colour scheme, maybe it is the material, if you see this in stores, grab it. I highly recommend.

Also I got a cute black/white chiffon maxi skirt for S$27. Black and white stripes have been the trend for awhile now but I have never followed this particular trend closely. I feel that black/white stripes broaden my hips and are just too contrasting for me. But what is so unique about this skirt is the differing stripe sizes, are you can tell the white stripes are a lot thinner than the black stripes. It looks a lot more subtle, toned down and looks amazing with a plain black tank top.

Moving on to Taylor Kit, they are a local boutique selling normal 'blogshop' range prices. I very coincidentally chanced upon their clearance event at Anchor Point one day after shopping at IKEA with my dad. And their prices were slashed to around S$10-$15. Of course I could not stop myself and bought 2 pieces (both free size). I have not heard of Taylor Kit before but both pieces I got have really decent quality.

I got a nice simple dress that is cut a little inwards in the shoulder area, very appropriate for school/work and the bodycon fit is very figure flattering, of course not that flattering after a meal. I wore this once with a nice statement pair of earrings to really spice up the look. Reduced to S$10!

The second piece I got is a royal blue chiffon maxi dress, I am not sure where I will be wearing this because I don't have any formal events coming up any where soon, but hey I thought that it was a nice piece to have. I mean every girl needs a blue maxi dress right? <- how you know you are a shopping addict part 2. Anyways the quality is amazing and the colour, ugh is just irresistible and it was only S$15 so why not.

Unknown to the majority of the local people here, there is actually a Vero Moda outlet store in the West side of our tiny shores. They carry outdated, clearance items and basic t-shirts which I like to go for. I got this Vero Moda V-neck tee shirt for around S$13.90 and the quality is UH-mazing. Very soft cotton that does not go out of shape and the material feel very heavy, so definitely a staple piece to have.

From Scape, I got this pair of leather shorts. You know how it is with leather shorts, they are literally everywhere but you just can't find the perfect, most flattering one. I can't say that I have found the one, because this pair of leather shorts are on the poofy side and I hate it. I don't dislike it enough to stop wearing it though, but it bothers me. It is S$26.90 and other than the poofiness, the quality is pretty decent.

Last but not least, a midi skirt from H&M. It is very figure hugging so I am not sure how I am going to wear it. Maybe with a loose knit jumper over it? And the material is quite thick so I am confident that there will not be any accidental VPL (Visible Panty Line). The skirt is S$24.90 and I think I got it in size xs.

I hope you guys enjoyed this month's haul and I will see you in my next one! Cheers!

Love,
Hannah
